Big Blow! Arsenal Target To Stay With His Club

Arsenal have been dealt a huge blow in their pursuit of Atalanta star Frank Kessie after his club manager Gian Piero Gasperini disclosed that the player would be staying at least until the summer transfer window.

Ivorian midfielder Frank Kessie has been linked with a move to Arsenal ahead of the January transfer window alongside other English heavyweight clubs like Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United, who have all scouted the in-form player.

Frank Kessie has been influential to Atalanta’s rise on the league table in Italy and has been one of the star performers in the Italian Serie A this season though he will risk a few weeks absence with the team as from next month due to his potential appearance with the Ivorian national team ahead of the 2017 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) slated for Gabon as from the 14th of January, 2017 to the 5th of February, 2017.

The former Genoa and Palermo boss was speaking with Sky Italia as he said: “I don’t think I will lose players.”

“The interest is significant from the other clubs, but I don’t think anyone will leave before June. Maybe we will have a stronger team.” he further stated.

The latest news is a big blow to Arsenal and their title aspirations few hours after reports broke concerning another transfer target Julian Draxler’s impending move to French champions Paris St. Germain.
