According to reports, Manchester United are preparing a £30million offer to land Joao Cancelo from La Liga side Valencia this summer transfer window.
Man United seek defensive reinforcement
The Daily Mirror is suggesting that United are keen on signing the 23-year-old defender as manager Jose Mourinho looks to reinforce his team ahead of next term.
The same article states that the Portuguese want to sign two fresh full-backs to the club this summer transfer window and that United are also keen on Southampton star Cedric Soares.
The former Chelsea boss is thought to be interested in bringing in reinforcements at the role to add major competition for make-shift defender Antonio Valencia at the club.
Cancelo spent last campaign on loan to Serie A side Inter Milan, who have a major clause in the contract to make the move permanent, but they are yet to activate that option.
Impressive defender
He netted one goal and created three assists in 26 Italian Serie A matches for the Italian team last term.
Meanwhile, the Red Devils are likely to be in the market for a number of recruits this summer window as they bid to put together a team good enough to win the League next term.
The Red Devils have not won the League trophy since their last success under Alex Ferguson back in 2013.
