According to British media reports, Merseyside giants Liverpool are preparing a £15million summer bid to land Nick Pope from Burnley FC.
Liverpool set to make offer
British publication the Sun is claiming that the Champions League beaten finalists are willing to submit a bid for the 26-year-old goalkeeper as the side look to reinforce their team ahead of next term.
The same report states that Liverpool are preparing a £15million offer for Nick Pope because they see him as a much more affordable alternative than AS Roma star Alisson Becker, who could cost the Reds as much as £70million.
Unimpressive goalkeepers to be replaced
The Reds are widely believed to be in the transfer market for strengthening between the sticks after Loris Karius’ disaster in the UEFA Champions League final in May.
Belgium international goalkeeper Simon Mignolet has also failed to impress fans and technical crew alike under manager Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool are believed to be keen on signing in a new safe hand this summer window.
The Reds have already started their summer recruitment activity by signing Brazil international midfielder Fabinho this summer transfer window.
The Merseysider’s are believed to be in the transfer market for a couple of other arrivals as Jurgen Klopp looks to assemble a team good enough to win the English Premier League trophy next term.
