Diego Costa has been in the news recently after his revelations about Antonio Conte’s text message.

And while many Chelsea fans are interested in Roman Abramovich’s stance on the matter.

According to new reports, the Chelsea board are fully backing the Conte after he dumped the Spanish forward from his squad.

The Brazilian-born attacker revealed last week that Conte sent him a ‘simple message’ to explain that he no longer has a future at Chelsea.

It is understood that the Italian manager faced the prospect of cutting short his holiday for a meeting with club owner Roman Abramovich to review the situation.

In a new development, The Sun insisted that the manager has received the full support from Chelsea’s hierarchy. This is an indication that Conte’s decision to get Costa axed is fully supported.

Antonio is on holiday in Italy at the moment but will return to London a few days before the Premier League champions start their pre-season campaign on July 7.

Diego Costa, on the other hand, is still uncertain over his future and appears to be at a crossroad.

His primary destination would have been Atletico Madrid, but the club are still serving a transfer ban which restricts them from making new signings until January.
