Atletico Madrid star striker Antoine Griezmann finally said he has no intentions of joining the English Premier League in the near future, insisting that he is having a good time with his Spanish club.
In Irecent times, the hitman has been linked strongly with a move to Manchester United and speculations had it that he is among the top priority of coach Jose Mourinho in next month’s transfer window.
Additionally, it was said that the 25-year old is now getting attached to France international teammate Paul Pogba following their impressive performances at the Euro 2016 earlier in the year, as both are becoming good friends.
However, while commenting about a possible move from the Spanish capital, Griezmann claimed he hasn’t given it any thought at this time in his career.
“I’m good in Madrid,” he said. “I don’t want to leave. I’m happy here. I have just had a little girl, I play my games, I’m good. Sorry, I’m going to stay.
“I’m so good at Atletico. Honestly, I don’t see myself leaving.
“People often talk to me about England too, but I’m good here. And also, going from Atletico to Real must be difficult.
“I don’t necessarily have the desire to try, nor to ask those who have already done it. No, I’m not thinking about it.”
However, it is believed by some that the only factor that determines if he’s staying or leaving is coach Diego Simeone. It is believed that as far as the Argentine manager remains at Atletico Madrid, the striker is staying with him. But if Simeone eventually leave the La Liga side, Griezmann is more likely to go ply his trade elsewhere.
