The North London outfit Arsenal have already registered their interest in the signature of French Ligue 2 outfit Lorient attacking midfielder Alexis Claude-Maurice ahead of the summer transfer window.

However, a report claims that the first bid of £7 million has been submitted for his signature but it was rejected by the French outfit.

Alexis Claude-Maurice is known to be a master in the attacking midfield while he has the ability to play as a winger, a quality that has helped him excel in the Ligue 2, to have caught the attention of a number of top teams.

The star player is known for his power shot which helped him deliver a number of goals and that is expected to convince the Gunners team to return with an improved deal after learning he scored 14 goals and provided four assists for Lorient in 36 games.

Alexis Claude-Maurice is, however, expected to be convinced by Matteo Guendouzi who left the club last summer window to become a first-team player in the Unai Emery team.

However, Alexis Claude-Maurice will suit the budget of the Arsenal team, knowing that manager Unai Emery might not have more than a £40 million to engage in the summer window.
