Blues could lose the attacker
As per Diario Gol, Premier League giants Chelsea could lose superstar forward Eden Hazard to La Liga giants Real Madrid if the Spanish club pay his £88m asking price this summer.
Chelsea are keen on holding onto the £200k-per-week superstar, but the Belgian has allegedly stalled on contract negotiations to push through a switch to Spain.
Fantastic Belgian
The Belgium international forward joined the Blues from Ligue 1 side Lille back in 2012 and has since made 295 appearances for them in all competitions, creating and scoring 161 goals. Hazard, 27, has been in good form this term, contributing 27 goals altogether in 46 matches but has his future still undecided as a result of the Los Blancos.
Real Madrid keen on Chelsea man
Real Madrid wanted the player before he even joined the West London club and haven’t given up attempting to sign him in the years after. The exciting attacker has even publicly disclosed would be a huge dream to play for Real Manager manager Zinedine Zidane.
Disappointing blues
The Blues’ disappointing campaign could be a major factor too. The West Londoners are in the Emirates FA Cup final in May, but the clubs hopes of playing UEFA Champions League football next term are very slim as they are currently placed fifth on the log, five points behind fourth-placed Spurs with four matches left.
