The French tactician has revealed that Germany international Mesut Ozil will undergo a fitness test ahead of the clash with La Liga giants Atletico Madrid on Thursday.
The exciting playmaker sat out Arsenal’s 4-1 victory over City rivals West Ham United due to a brief illness and we’ll have to wait and see whether the midfielder would have recovered early enough for the semi-final first leg encounter at The Emirates Stadium later this week.
Miki out of crunch tie
England international midfielder Jack Wilshere is also presently nursing an ankle problem, while Armenian international Henrikh Mkhitaryan is absolutely sidelined with a knee injury.
The former Monaco boss confirmed that the Armenian attacking midfielder will surely miss Thursday’s crunch tie due to injury, but that both Wilshere and Ozil will have to go through late fitness tests ahead of the Europa League clash.
