According to reports, Chelsea star David Luiz has allegedly contacted Champions League winners Real Madrid over completing a possible move to the Santiago Bernabeu after failing to seal himself a transfer move to FC Barcelona.
The Brazilian has not been a regular starter at Fulham road this league season and wants to depart for La Liga Champions Real Madrid as there seems to be no route back for him under the tutelage of Antonio Conte, as per Don Balon.
The former PSG defender was a key figure for the Blues last term and could perfectly slot in at Real Madrid, with the news outlet suggesting there has been a couple of interest from top Spanish clubs as well.
The report also claim that the Blues wants to sign AC Milan defender Leonardo Bonucci, whose potential arrival would signal the end of David Luiz’s Chelsea career.
Luiz, 30, may feel rather sad after his key role in the club’s success last term, and indeed in his first stint at the club before he moved to Paris and also shone at French Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain.
Undoubtedly, Antonio Conte feels Bonucci is an upgrade of Luiz and is certainly keen on reuniting with a defender he’s worked with at both Italian national team and Juventus.
