Confirmed: Man Utd Planning Summer Swoop For Ex-Chelsea Player



Three-time European champions Manchester United are interested in signing one of the former players of Premier League rivals Chelsea according to widespread reports coming out of the British media.

The Red Devils want to sign Crystal Palace left-back Patrick Van Aanholt who was formerly on the payroll at West London outfit Chelsea.

Dutch international Van Aanholt has been in very good form for Crystal Palace this season and Manchester United are keen on a move for him this summer.

The Red Devils want to strengthen their fullback areas in the summer and Patrick Van Aanholt has been identified as one of the players that could do the job effectively and efficiently.

The specific report from The Sun claimed that Manchester United are ready to splash a whooping sum of £50m on the Crystal Palace duo of Patrick Van Aanholt and Aaron Wan-Bissaka this summer.

Patrick Van Aanholt came through the Chelsea youth teams before making his first team debut for the Blues.

The Dutchman didn’t nail down a starting XI berth at Chelsea and that played a big role in his exit to Sunderland.

Van Aanholt signed for South London club Crystal Palace in 2017 after three years at Sunderland and he has been a key player for the Eagles since his transfer.
