For the first time this Premier League season it feels that Antonio Conte and Chelsea have stability in the squad and that will prove important against an attacking Liverpool this evening at Anfield Stadium.
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte named the same starting line up for the first time this campaign in back-to-back victories over Premier League rivals Manchester United and West Bromwich Albion matches and the two successive clean sheets mean the Italian is unlikely to make changes when the West London club take on Merseyside giant Liverpool.
The former Juventus boss made four changes for the Qarabag victory during the week, but that was not surprising as the manager wanted to rotate his starting XI for a weaker squad and give them the opportunity to hand them some rest before the long journey back to the City of London.
It would be a massive shock to see any major changes from the win at The Hawthorns, with Dane defender Andreas Christensen to return in for Brazil international defender David Luiz, who is now playing back-up to the youngster at the moment.
A major boost for Conte’s team is that Super Eagles winger Victor Moses is back after a hamstring injury and could return to the starting lineup, however, the Italian confirmed in his presser yesterday that the wing back will start from the substitute bench for the match.
Chelsea Predicted team (3-5-2): Thibaut Courtois; Cesar Azpilicueta, Andreas Christensen, Gary Cahill; Davide Zappacosta, Ngolo Kante, Bakayoko, Cesc Fabregas, Marcus Alonso; Eden Hazard, Alvaro Morata.
