Chelsea tactician Antonio Conte has aimed a dig at club Billionaire owner Roman Abramovich over the teams ‘stupid’ policy of parting ways with managers too often.
Under pressure
The Italian is already under severe pressure after poor run of recent results, with the team winning only twice in their last ten matches in all competitions, putting their position in next season’s UEFA Champions League in major doubt.
The Blues have also recently been eliminated from the League Cup by the Gunners after a semi-final loss and will be huge underdogs against FC Barcelona when they lock horns in the UEFA Champions League next week.
Conte calls Abramovich decision stupid
Still, the former Juventus manager feels it would be stupid decision to sack him and has strongly criticised the stance of sacking a coach every time things begin to go wrong – as has been the frequent norm under Roman Abramovich since he took control at Chelsea in 2003.
The Russian Billionaire will certainly not take too kindly these words from the tactician, with Antonio Conte playing with hot fire over the safety of his job at Stamford Bridge right now as rumour mounts that Marco Silva may be in contention to take charge for the main time, as reported by the Times.
