Manchester United undoubtedly need to sign an attacker before the summer transfer window closes at the end of this month and once again Besiktas loanee Anderson Talisca is in the limelight.
The Brazilian international was in excellent form for Besiktas – on loan from Benfica last term, and helped the Turkish club win the league title.
In 33 matches in all competitions, the 23-year-old directly contributed to no fewer than 23 goals, scoring 17 goals and providing 6 assists.
According to a report monitored by Foto Spor, after several brilliant performances, the Besiktas president wanted to sign Talisca permanently, and for that, he is willing to pay the 25 million euros ($29.5million) release clause in his current contract.
However, Turkish sources have confirmed that the transfer depends on the youngster’s parent club Benfica and the claim is that Premier League giant Manchester United are closing in on a deal to sign the South American forward. If the translation done by Turkish-Football is anything to go by, then it says that Manchester United have agreed with the Primeira Liga side to sign the striker Talisca.
Foto Spor have further confirmed that if Manchester United are closing in on a deal, then Fikret knows that the attacker could not be stopped from leaving the club and therefore, he is looking to sign a player from United.
The forward targeted is 21-year-old Andreas Pereira who spent last season with Granada on a season long loan and scored 5 goals.
