“We’re getting him” – Mourinho willing to sanction £79m transfer deal for first summer recruit

According to reports, Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is set to sanction a £79million transfer deal to land Bayern Munich wide man Douglas Costa.

Man United boss keen on Bayern star

The Sun is claiming that the United manager wants to bring the Brazilian in the 2018 summer window to strengthen his midfield options.

The same report states that reigning Serie A champions Juventus remain keen on Costa after the Brazil international spent the 2017-18 campaign on loan at the Turin base club.

As per the same report, the Red Devils would be ready to pay £79million to land the Bayern Munich star.

The Italian side have the option to pay £33million to land Costa after the Serie A giant paid £7million for his services during the just concluded season.

Juve still keen on star attacker

However, the Turin giant are believed to be keen on potential transfer deals for Man United superstar midfielder Paul Pogba and United target Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

Man Utd remain second favourite to land Costa this summer window.

United lost 1-0 to the Blues in the Emirates FA Cup final last weekend at Wembley Stadium following Belgian Eden Hazard’s winning goal.

The Red Devils finished in second position in the English Premier League log behind eventual winner Manchester City.
