It has been confirmed that Zak Swanson has signed his first professional contract with the North London outfit Arsenal after his impressive performance this season with the U18 side.
Zak Swanson is the second player to be handed professional deals after the announcement of Mark McGuinness with a deal.
However, Zak Swanson has been a Gunner since he was six and has grown through the ranks to develop into the talent that he is today. There is no doubt that he dreams to have a first-team appearance early enough.
Zak Swanson is known to be a versatile player, having played in a number of positions since he started football. This season, he mostly played as a left back but he has moved round to different departments in the pitch with the arrival of Joel Lopez from the Italian Serie A outfit Barcelona.
However, he has been able to fit into all of the systems at a different level and he has now risen to the U23 team.
Suggestions are that he could be cited by other clubs and called upon for a first-team football by coming season. The Gunners might decide to let him out on loan and could also allow him to leave on a permanent deal.
