Football pundit Ray Wilkins has disclosed that the bad blood between Antonio Conte of Chelsea and Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is because the pair treats their respective sides as if they were a close family.
Team like Family
This is as per the Mirror, who are claiming that Ray Wilkins, who formerly played for both Chelsea and United, has said that the pair’s passion for their teams is why both of them don’t see each other eye to eye.
So far this term, Chelsea and United have both had very similar seasons, with the duo currently third and fourth on the English Premier League log respectively.
Both teams are still in the UEFA Champions League and the Emirates FA Cup, with the two both out of the carabao Cup.
Big spenders
Both Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte have spent some money this term, with Chelsea signing the likes of Alvaro Morata and Tiemoue Bakayoko, whereas United has brought in Nemanja Matic and Romelu Lukaku.
It’s difficult to say whether both teams will qualify for next campaign’s UEFA Champions League this season, with the Premier League title out of it, as Manchester City are so far ahead of others.
The two Premier League giants face off today at Old Trafford in a game that will be hotly contested, with both teams looking to give Champions League hopes next term a massive boost with a win.
