Robert Lewandowski

According to reports, Chelsea are ahead of the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United, and Liverpool in the transfer race for Bayern striker Robert Lewandowski as the star striker eyes a move to the English Premier League this summer transfer window.

World class forward

The trusted and tested Poland international striker would be a world class signing for almost any big club in Europe, and this latest speculation will be a worrying sign for Spain international striker Alvaro Morata and France international Olivier Giroud as regards their Chelsea futures.

The Sun suggest the Blues will likely be leading the race for Robert Lewandowski as he eyes a move to the Premier League, with Chelsea tactician Antonio Conte making it crystal clear he doesn’t really trust his current set of strikers.

Striker expected to be an upgrade

Conte left both Giroud and Morata on the substitute bench against La Liga giants FC Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League, and Undoubtedly, Lewandowski would be a big upgrade in that department.

The Blues need a major signing like this to return to their best after a disappointing 2017/2018 season that seems more than likely to end without a trophy.
