Chelsea boss sends message to Top striker as goal drought continues

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is not worried about Alvaro Morata’s goal drought, despite the fact that the Spaniard has not scored in over a month.

The Premier League Champions had struggled without the striker’s goals as they were suffered back to back Premier League defeats at the hands of rivals Manchester City and Crystal Palace but it looks like the Italian has once more found the right strategy to get his team back to winning ways.

After the Spain international made an assist, his first since the month of August, in the team’s victory over AFC Bournemouth, the former Juventus manager leapt to his defence.

When questioned by newsmen about the fact that Chelsea’s record transfer signing has not found the back of the net in any of his last five matches, the former Italy coach highlighted the fact that the former Real Madrid star is still recovering from a hamstring problem.

The former Juventus striker’s time at West London got off to a brilliant start as he netted seven goals in his first seven appearances for the club as well as making two assists.

Supporters of the club will be hoping he can regain his early shape as they head to Italy to take on Italian Serie A side AS Roma on Tuesday night, where a victory would guarantee their qualification in the next round of the UEFA Champions League.
