Former Juventus coach and current Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has replied Arsene Wenger’s comment ‘only one team in London’. The Italian coach says he has great respect for all teams.
If you are really lost about the ‘drama’, here is what happened….
As the summer transfer window approaches, it is common that players and clubs should begin planning ahead, and the media busy covering stories.
Many players are already been linked with moving to other clubs, and Arsenal’s star Alexis Sanchez has been linked with a move to Chelsea in recent times.
And very recent, the Chilean dropped a hint that he is moving to Chelsea when, in an interview, he stated that he desire remaining at London. And when the Gunners boss, in an interview, was made to speak about Chelsea’s interest in Sanchez, Wenger stated that the player actually wants to stay in London to play for a club, which according to him, ‘has aspirations’. He also declared that ‘There is only one team in London, so he is happy!’ (meaning the Chile international is referring to Arsenal, and no other club)
And though many Chelsea supporters have already expressed themselves in regards to Wenger’s comment, they still expect the Italian manager to say something too – and he just did that.
Conte, in a recent interview, was asked about Wenger’s comments, but the former Italy head coach jovially gave a ‘there are many teams in London’ response.
Of course, many thought he was going to hit back hard at Arsene, but Conte is always surprising.
