Let the money rain!
Manchester City has recorded a whopping profit for the second time this year all thanks to Pep Guardiola!
In a disclosed report of their annual financial statement, they revealed that the club had earned profits worth £20.5 million.
The Chairman of the Oil money club Khaldoon Al-Mubarak laid emphasis on the multiplication and total overhaul that began at the club in 2008 when Sheikh Mansour took over. The chairman said that City has reached a “critical new phase” in the club’s transformation with the appointment of Pep Guardiola as manager.
What he means is that the club is making much more money than before!
Expressing his excitement, Al-Mubarak remarked that the club “have the playing, coaching and off-field capabilities at our disposal to achieve great things in English and European football in the years ahead.”
These huge profits are certainly a landmark in the growth of the club since they were taken over by the Abu Dhabi group in 2008.
Some of the avenues they make their money includes ticket sales, signings, sale of jerseys and royalties. Of course this is excluding all undisclosed amounts to the general public.
So far, they have maintained a lead on the table and have shown remarkable skills.
