Former Arsenal boss, Arsene Wenger might be in line to face his former side should he take up the job at Fenerbahce which has been linked to him.

Emerging reports from Turkish outlet Milliyet reveal that Fenerbahce are seeking for Wenger’s signature knowing his pedigree and his record success.

It has been revealed that the club’s bosses held a meeting this week and had agreed to show manager Phillip Cocu the way out having established that he is performing far below expectations at the club.

Fenerbahce are currently sitting 14th in the Turkish league table and the former Arsenal boss might just be the solution the club are seeking for.

It was revealed that the Turkish side had approached the French manager but were turned down but have again agreed to hold talks with him to convince him again.

There is a possibility that Wenger could end up facing his former side who are now managed by Unai Emery.

Wenger left Arsenal against his wish at the summer after a 22-year reign in charge at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal have since bounced back under the new Spanish manager and have won seven consecutive games this season.

The North London club lost their first two games of the season.
