Finally, Chelsea And Arsenal Target To Make Decision Over Future In Few Weeks

Luis Enrique has been a source of transfer speculations for more than a month as he is being linked with both Chelsea and Arsenal’s managerial post in the summer. The former Barcelona manager was earlier said to have agreed to personal terms with Chelsea but the manager came out to debunk the rumours, claiming there is no truth in it.

Some weeks later, another rumour arose that the Spaniard is set to replace Arsene Wenger next season.

Unlike the rumours linking him to Chelsea, Enrique didn’t debunk the rumour but he only revealed that he has received an offer from a club “who love him to work with me (Enrique)”

Arsene Wenger revealed his plan to step down in the summer and Enrique has been heavily linked to the Gunners job but there could be a new twist to the Spaniard’s future.

According to Spanish media outlet Sports, Enrique would decide his future in coming weeks but he could surprise many as he is believed to be making a U-turn by choosing Chelsea ahead of Arsenal.

To support their claim, Sports report that Chelsea have made an official approach towards bringing the experience manager to Stamford Bridge as they trust in his abilities to bring the club back to their standard as one of the best clubs in Europe.

Though nothing has been made official, Chelsea stand a better chance of securing the manager’s signature in the summer.

During his time at Camp Nou, Enrique was able to help the Catalans to numerous trophies including Copa del Rey, two La Liga trophies, one Champions League and Spanish Super cup.

He would surely be a great addition to the club who successfully won the race for his signature.
