Man United Target Sparks Transfer Frenzy After Being Excluded from Match Squad

Serge Aurier

Paris Saint Germain defender Serge Aurier has been left out of the squad that will face Toulouse this weekend amid reports of interest from Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

The 25-year-old has been linked with a move away from the French giants after falling out of favour under Unai Emery last season, coupled with controversy over his legal case in France.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has been tipped to make move for a younger right-back to act as cover for Antonio Valencia who has been in brilliant form for the Red Devils, but has gone past the age of 30-year-old.

United are understood to have held talks with Aurier over a potential move this summer but are yet to finalize the move due to his ban from entering the United Kingdom which caused him to miss PSG’s Champions League tie against Arsenal last November.

Tottenham Hotspur are said to have moved for the Ivorian defender and would have to wait till his legal case is resolved.

Aurier’s absence from the match day squad could signal good news for the interested parties who are hoping to seal his signature before the end of the summer transfer window.

Mourinho has come out to reveal his intention to sign a fourth player this summer and will sign either a versatile right-back capable of playing in the midfield or a winger.
