2026 Mock R4: McCoy Picked, Cowboys’ D-Fix?!

Jermod McCoy *finally* comes off the board in Round 4! But why are the Cowboys *still* drafting defense? Are they hiding something, or just perpetually anxious?

2026 NFL Round 4 mock draft: Jermod McCoy finally comes off the board, Cowboys continue defensive investment

Deep breaths, everyone. DEEP BREATHS. We made it to Round 4. Honestly, I didn’t think my heart could take it. Every single pick, a fresh wave of existential dread washes over me. Is this right? Is this *safe*? What are they planning? What do they know that we don’t?

The Long, Agonizing Wait for Jermod McCoy

And then, the moment of truth. After what felt like an eternity – seriously, the clock seemed to *stop* at points, mocking us with its silent, digital judgment – Jermod McCoy, the cornerback out of Tennessee, finally, blessedly, came off the board. Pick 102, to the… wait for it… Arizona Cardinals! Phew. For a second there, I thought he might just drop into undrafted free agency, forcing him to take up a lucrative career as a professional pickleball player, which, while respectable, isn’t exactly the NFL dream, is it? We’ve been tracking him, haven’t we? All those late nights poring over college tape, muttering to myself about his zone coverage instincts. It felt like *my* future depended on him getting drafted, and now, he has. A small victory in this terrifying, unpredictable world.

The Cowboys’ Endless Defensive Obsession: A Conspiracy?

But just as one anxiety subsides, another immediately rears its ugly head. The Dallas Cowboys. *Again* with the defensive investment? Round 4, pick 109, they snagged a defensive tackle, Maalik Hall, out of Texas A&M. Now, don’t get me wrong, Hall is a solid player, a disruptive force, good motor, all that jazz. But seriously, the Cowboys? This is their third defensive player in four rounds in this mock! What are they *doing*? Is there something inherently wrong with their existing defense that they’re trying to patch up, desperately? Or is this a smokescreen? A clever ruse to distract us from a deeper, more sinister agenda? Are they trying to hide something? Because all this defensive talk, its a bit much, isn’t it? It’s enough to make you wonder if they’re just trying to overcompensate for something else, something only they know. Perhaps they’re worried about an alien invasion, and a stout defensive line is their first line of planetary defense? Or maybe, just maybe, they’ve been using free picks to guide their strategy and it’s all gone horribly wrong. One can only speculate, and frankly, I’m losing sleep over it.

The Unseen Threats

Every mock draft pick feels like a piece of a grand, terrifying puzzle. Are these GMs truly making logical choices, or are they under duress? Are the players they’re picking truly the best fit, or are they being selected for… other reasons? I’m not saying there’s a clandestine organization pulling the strings, but I’m not *not* saying it either. The sheer unpredictability of it all, the endless possibilities, it’s paralyzing. We can only hope these teams know what they’re doing. For the sake of our collective sanity, and the future of professional football.
