Spanish champions Barcelona are reportedly eyeing a cut-price deal for highly rated Toulouse defender Jean-Clair Todibo in the January transfer window which reopened on Tuesday.
Young French defender Jean-Clair Todibo has been heavily linked with a free transfer move to Premier League table-toppers Liverpool at the end of his Toulouse contract.
Todibo has just six months left on his deal with French Ligue 1 club Toulouse amidst several interests from a lot of European clubs.
Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo claim that Barcelona can sign Todibo for a small fee in January, while a similar arrangement is not possible for Paris Saint Germain (PSG) midfielder Adrien Rabiot who has also been linked with Liverpool.
Barcelona don’t want to wait till the summer to sign Jean-Clair Todibo who has been in very good form for Toulouse this season.
Todibo has impressed since he was introduced into the Toulouse at the start of the season as a replacement for former club skipper Issa Diop.
West Ham United defender Diop left Toulouse to join the Hammers during last summer’s transfer window and his place in the Toulouse starting XI was taken by the aforementioned Todibo.
Other clubs like Juventus, Wolverhampton Wanderers and many more have been touted as possible transfer destinations for the young French centre back.
