Atletico Ready To Let Go Of Griezmann, Devise Tactics To Sign Superb Replacement

According to reports, Manchester United could lose Antoine Griezmann to Manchester City at the end of this season.

The Madrid club have reportedly approached the premier league leaders for Sergio Aguero and they are willing to send Griezmann over to the Etihad Stadium in exchange for their former striker.

Griezmann has been superb for Atletico Madrid and has evolved into one of the best players in the world.

His impressive performances at the club have caught the attention of a handful of top clubs across Europe including Barcelona.

There were even recent speculations that the Catalan giants were close to agreeing to a deal with the Frenchman – but the Camp Nou club have however been forced to release a public statement denying the claims.

Last summer, the France international was heavily linked with making a move to Old Trafford, but an agreement wasn’t reached before the closure of the window.

He is however expected to leave Diego Simeone’s side anytime soon, and a move to England could bring Aguero back to Atletico Madrid.

The Sun suggests Atletico are ready to ignore other clubs interested in Griezmann’s signature and are ready to push the Frenchman to the Etihad Stadium if Pep Guardiola can send Aguero back to them.

Sergio joined Man City from Atletico Madrid back in 2011 and has become the club’s all-time top goalscorer.
