Undoubtedly, Ousmane Dembele has endured a tough debut season with FC Barcelona, but North London outfit Arsenal could allegedly now emerge as an escape route for the forward.
Tough start at Camp Nou
The 20-year-old attacker signed for the Catalan side in a huge money transfer last summer transfer window from Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund, with BBC Sport stating that it could cost the Gunners about £135.5m in total.
However, the youngster hasn’t been able to make an immediate impact at the club, as he has been limited to only nine matches so far this term due to injuries.
It will be tough enough for the forward at the club considering the level of competition with Argentine international Lionel Messi, striker Luis Suarez and Brazil international Philippe Coutinho all vying for a place, and so it has led to continuous speculation over his Barcelona future.
Aubameyang wants Dembele at Arsenal
As per Don Balon, as cited by The Express, Arsenal latest recruit Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has convinced manager Arsene Wenger and club hierarchy to make a move for the France international and restore his confidence.
In his only season in the Bundesliga, he netted 10 goals and made 21 assists in 49 matches, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will know pretty well what he can bring to the table at the North London club having been teammates at Dortmund.
