Under-fire Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has decided to give his players an extra two days off training following their disappointing 4-1 loss to Watford on Monday.
Humiliated champions
The reigning Premier League Champions were completely outplayed by the Hornets and whilst some club supporters would possibly be keen to see the former Juventus manager punishing the players for the poor outing by getting them right back to train their asses out, the tactician has decided otherwise and opted to give his boys a break.
Conte adopt different strategy
The former Italy boss feels that excessive work schedule has become a major factor in their recent outings and hopes that a number of days off work will do his boys a whole lot of good.
Conte’s players were originally supposed to return to Cobhams to train on Wednesday but with the team’s next match not until Monday, the tactician has permitted them to take an additional two days off.
Must-win West Brom clash
The clash with West Bromwich Albion at Stamford Bridge is beginning to look like a must-win match for the Blues now, so the tactician will be hoping that extra resting days will reinvigorate his boys ahead of a huge run of matches.
