As reported by the Mirror, Arsenal are facing stiff competition from Spanish La Liga side Real Madrid for the services of Olympique Lyon star Nabil Fekir.
Nabil Fekir is one of a number of exciting youngsters across Europe and has brightened that reputation having netted 13 goals in 16 matches in all competitions so far this campaign.
Nabil Fekir, 24, has been with the French side since linking up with their academy back in 2011 but he’s been tipped to leave for a much bigger side either in the New year or in the summer.
The Gunners have been linked with a transfer for Fekir in November with the Daily Star stating last week that Arsenal are close to securing a £60m move with Olympique Lyon to sign the forward at the end of the current season.
Arsene Wenger needs to make contingency plans for the possible departure of Alexis Sanchez as the 28-year-old attacker is expected to link up with his former boss Pep Guardiola at Manchester City either for a reduced price deal in the New Year or for nothing in June.
Fekir can be played as a No.10 behind the striker, as a frontman or even out on the flank so he would be a good replacement for Sanchez if Wenger could get a transfer wrapped-up.
