Manchester United not interested in £27m rated PSG utility man

Serge Aurier

According to reports, PSG utility man Serge Aurier will not be joining Premier League giant Manchester United, despite claims last night that he was nearing a transfer to Old Trafford.

It was suggested that Serge Aurier had emerged as a £27million target for the Jose Mourinho tutored team.

The Mirror reported a £90,000-weekly deal had been prepared for the African.

It came with the French giant looking to offload some stars to create space – and fund – available for the incoming Neymar Jr and Aurier being identified as one who can leave.

With United manager Jose Mourinho looking to strengthen his team further before the season starts, United were said to be among clubs interested in the defender who can play anywhere across the back four.

Yet, United have apparently poured scorn on the rumour, with Sky Sports reporting they have been told by sources at the Old Trafford club that there is no interest.

Jose Mourinho has revealed publicly that he is looking to sign four new players, this summer. In Victor Lindelof, Nemanja Matic and Romelu Lukaku he has three of those.

It’s thought that he wants a winger with Inter’s Ivan Perisic the main target, however securing the Croatian’s services is proving tough.
