Derby County manager Frank Lampard will reportedly meet with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich over the vacant managerial role at Stamford Bridge.

This is according to the publication from The Sun which claimed that Frank Lampard will meet Roman Abramovich for talks on his £380m yacht later.

Frank Lampard is a former Chelsea midfielder and he’s the favourite to take the vacant managerial job at Chelsea.

The Europa League winners are without a new manager after Maurizio Sarri left the club during the just concluded weekend.

Sarri spent one season at Chelsea before going back to the Italian Serie A.

The 60-year-old has been appointed the new Juventus manager on a three-year deal said to be worth £6.2m per annum.

He finished his one and only season at Chelsea by guiding the West Londoners to the Europa League title via a 4-1 win over London rivals Arsenal.

Frank Lampard attained legendary status at Chelsea after he scored 211 goals in 13 years at Stamford Bridge.

The 40-year-old is the leading goalscorer in the history of Chelsea and the club’s fans want him to return to Stamford Bridge this summer as a replacement for new Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri.

Chelsea are ready to offer Lampard a three-year contract to become their new manager.
