The Champions League is here again, and Manchester United are set to clash with Basel for their next European football game on Wednesday.
Jose Mourinho’s side have been in superb form so far in the tournament, and the Portuguese tactician will look to make it five wins from five games tomorrow.
The Old Trafford club will finish top of the Group A if they can get at least a point from the meeting with FC Basel.
The red devils came back from a goal behind to thrash Newcastle United 4-1 on Saturday in the premier league, and will be going into Switzerland with full confidence.
Mourinho received a big boost with the arrival of Paul Pogba who scored a goal and provided an assist at Old Trafford.
Swede legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic is also back to full fitness, and the enigmatic striker even attempted a bicycle kick against Rafa Benitez’s side.
Basel, on the other hand, have also been impressive in the Champions League, and are sitting second behind Man United.
The Swiss club beat CSKA Moscow and Benfica, but couldn’t stand Man United’s form when they met at first.
And although they have no injury concerns, the Swiss heavyweights will play on Wednesday without Ricky van Wolfswinkel.
Considering Man United’s current form, the red devils are favourites to win the game.
