Arsenal are reportedly lining up a shock move for Torino forward M’Baye Niang.

The Gunners have been in the market for several players this summer, and could do well to end their transfer window on a high note, by sealing the transfer of another promising talent.

Reports in the Mirror have it that the North Londoners are ready to sign Niang before the transfer window shuts next Thursday as Unai Emery look to bolster his squad ahead of a fierce first season in the Premier League.

It is understood that Arsenal are looking to offload a couple of players before the end of the window, with the likes of Lucas Perez, Joel Campbell, Chuba Akpom and Danny Welbeck all tipped to make the switch before next Thursday.

The same report in Mirror claim that Torino will only allow Niang leave on a permanent basis with a deal around £12.5 million said to be in the offing.

Arsenal were believed to ready to pounce on Ousmane Dembele’s signature but the move has stall, with reports that Barcelona are reluctant to allow the winger move on a permanent basis.

Meanwhile, a move for M’Baye Niang could signal less ambition for the Gunners as they are expected to bring in names that will affect their push for Champions League football in the new season.
