North London side Arsenal have been tipped to win the race for Ligue 1 side Lyon defensive midfielder Tanguy Ndombele once the winter transfer window opens in coming weeks.
British daily tabloid newspaper The Daily Mirror report that Tanguy Ndombele is being wanted by other Premier League sides including Liverpool, Manchester City and Everton but the Gunners have been tipped to have the advantage for the box-to-box midfielder.
According to the report, Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola was at the front queue for Tanguy Ndombele before he was joined by Everton but there are fears he could miss out on the highly rated star with the emergence of Arsenal in the race.
Tanguy Ndombele is believed to favour a move to the Emirates because of the assurance of playing a regular football that has been promised to him.
The star player has helped Lyon this season as they sit second behind Paris Saint Germain in the Ligue 1 table but he could be on his way out of the club with luring bids expected to be submitted in coming weeks.
Arsenal have identified Tanguy Ndombele as a perfect replacement for departing Aaron Ramsey who will be on his way out by the end of the season.
