According to British media reports, Chelsea and Tottenham are on red alert after French side Lyon offered Liverpool target Nabil Fekir to the English Premier League clubs.
Liverpool target linked with Premier League move
The Sun is claiming that the Reds were unable to secure a transfer deal after they proved unwilling to equal Lyon’s valuation due to worries about his medical condition.
The same report is claiming that the France international playmaker has now been offered to Spurs and Chelsea in the summer window.
As per the same report, the Merseysider’s top-six rivals Tottenham and Chelsea are in the transfer market to strengthen their options in attack this summer.
The Liverpool target is currently a member of the France national squad that is currently competing at the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Russia.
Fekir came off the substitute bench in their 2-1 victory against Australian in their FIFA World Cup opening match last week.
Quality Frenchman
Fekir netted 18 goals and provided eight assists in 30 matches in the French Ligue 1 last term to help his side Lyon finish in the third position in the Ligue 1.
The Reds finished in the fourth position on the Premier League table last season despite offloading Brazil international creative midfielder Philippe Coutinho in a £142million transfer deal to La Liga side FC Barcelona.
