Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has disclosed that Club captain and defender Gary Cahill will play what he considers his proper position on Sunday when they clash with Manchester United.
According to a report by the Telegraph, the Italian tactician says that Cahill will start the Sunday clash on the left side of a back three.
The center back started on the right side of a back three when the English Premier League champions travelled to Italy to take on AS Roma during the week in a UEFA Champions League clash, after some players had suggested that to him.
The change of position did backfired and the Blues fell to a disappointing loss against the Italia Capital club, which now leaves Conte’s men second in their UEFA Champions League group.
Worries over the future of the former Juventus head coach continue to grow and a loss on Sunday afternoon could spell the end of his reign at Stamford Bridge, as per several reports.
Premier League giant Manchester United head to the Bridge in brilliant form with recent wins against Portuguese club Benfica and North London side Tottenham Hotspurs and they know a victory on Sunday afternoon could close up the gap between themselves and City rivals Manchester City at the apex of the Premier League table.
