Arsenal and Chile international forward Alexis Sanchez will turn down Real Madrid to join Premier League rivals Manchester City.

The Chilean is keen on joining City in the month of January or next summer when his Arsenal contract runs out.

Real Madrid supremo Florentino Perez is thought to have put the Gunners forward on a list of winter transfer targets.

Manchester City are super sure of getting their target after failing on the deadline day of the summer transfer window with a whopping £60million offer for Sanchez.

Alexis Sanchez still wants to join City despite the approach of Real Madrid and has strongly revealed that he will move to Manchester City which is most likely to materialize next summer when he becomes a free agent.

That will mean that the Gunners will lose out on £60million after opting not to sell, but they still believe Sanchez could help them return to the UEFA Champions League places.

Spanish La Liga giant Real Madrid are willing to strengthening their attacking line after selling Spain international striker Alvaro Morata this summer transfer window which has left them short of striking options.

There are continued doubts over Wales international Gareth Bale’s long term future, and Chilean Alexis Sanchez could be seen as a perfect replacement.
