Former Manchester United player Gary Neville believes Uruguay striker Luis Suarez has what it takes to play and shine at his former side at Old Trafford.
The Barcelona player moved to Camp Nou from Liverpool for a fee worth £65million back in 2014, and he is popularly regarded as one of the best strikers in Europe.
He has formed a classic partnership upfront with the duo of Lionel Messi and Neymar at Camp Nou – before the Brazilian made his big-money move to PSG this summer.
When he was still playing in the English top flight, Suarez scored 82 goals in 133 appearances for the reds and almost helped them win the premier league title back in the 2013/14 season. He was their main man up front at Anfield, and was usually relied on for the goals – and he is quite good doing that.
However, former Man United defender Neville, speaking recently to Stretty News TV, insists the striker is made for United and that Jose Mourinho must strongly consider bringing him to Old Trafford.
“Suarez, even though played for Liverpool, is a Manchester United player.” Neville said.
Gary believes the 30-year-old’s aggression and arrogance would see him fit in well at Man United, alongside others like Gareth Bale and Neymar.
According to the former England rightback, those players ‘would light up Old Trafford.’
