Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez has finally decided to join Manchester City ahead of Chelsea next summer, according to reports.
The 28-year-old has been a subject of transfer interest from several clubs in Europe due to his failure to renew his contract at the Emirates, sparking speculations that the likes of Paris Saint Germain, Manchester City and Chelsea are keen on signing him next summer.
Sanchez further fuelled the speculations when he hinted at a move to Chelsea during an interview at the last international break, claiming he wants to remain in London but with a winning club.
‘I am happy in London and hope to finish my contract there,’ he said.
‘I’d like to stay in the city but with a team that is winning things, that has a winning mentality.
‘I’m 28 years old, I still have a lot of years ahead of me. I am a player who looks after himself.’
Metro has now claimed that Sanchez has rescinded his decision to join the Blues and will favour a move to Manchester City.
Although, reports in Goal also claimed that Sanchez held talks with Paris Saint Germain with regards to a potential deal next summer but recent speculations now sugests that the former Barcelona forward will be happy to re-unite with Pep Guardiola at the Etihad.
