Arsenal open talks to sign £40m rated star
Arsenal are reported to have begun negotiation over the potential signing of Boca Juniors £40n million star Cristian Pavon in the winter transfer window in coming weeks.
The 22-year-old was earlier reported to be interesting the North London side and for some weeks but latest report says negotiations have begun between both sides over the signature of the player.
Cristian Pavon is believed to have caught the attention of several clubs including the North London side after his fine display at the World Cup with the Argentina national team despite not going far in the competition.
The North London side are hopeful that Cristian Pavon can serve as a replacement for England international Danny Welbeck who is set to leave the club at the end of the season after an injury he sustained.
Although, the Argentina international has been struggling with injuries which leaves him inconsistent in performance for his side.
Since joining Boca Juniors in 2014, Cristian Pavon has had 72 league appearances under his belt and be able to see through 19 goals and he could be set to be on his way to the Emirates Stadium.
It is therefore not sure if the North London side will be able to meet up with the £40 million demand for the player.
