This year FIFA award has been trailed with controversies after Mo Salah goal won the Puskas Award.

Five times World best player and Portugal international, Cristiano Ronaldo has reacted to the goal that saw Liverpool star, Mo Salah win the Puskas Award.

According to Cristiano Ronaldo, the goal from the Egyptian striker was good but the former Real Madrid star believes his bicycle kick goal against Juve in the UCL last season was better.

Cristiano Ronaldo made this known via his Instagram handle to his 140 million followers.

He, however, disclosed that he doesn’t feel disappointed, he went on say that an individual can’t always win all the time.

Ronaldo added that what was surprising to him was how he managed to maintain the same level throughout his 15 years career.

The Portugal international did not only lose the Puskas award but also lose what would have been his 6th FIFA world best player award to his former Real Madrid teammate, Luca Modric.

This year FIFA Puskas award has been heavily criticised, the goal that saw Mo Salah win the award is not even amongst his best goals.

The shocking aspect, however, is that Mo Salah didn’t make the FIFA best XI players in the world despite winning the Puskas Award.
