Liverpool on the verge to sign another star player

According to Spanish media reports, Liverpool have moved into pole position to land Jan Oblak from La Liga side Atletico Madrid this summer transfer window.

Liverpool keen on Oblak

Spanish publication El Gol Digital, as cited by the Daily Mirror, is claiming that Liverpool are heading the race to land Jan Oblak this summer window after la Liga giants Atletico Madrid start making plans to bring in a replacement.

The Reds are thought to be on the transfer market for a new shot-stopper this summer transfer window after Loris Karius’ poor display in the UEFA Champions League final against Real Madrid last weekend.

The same article now states that Atletico are targeting Athletic Bilbao goalie Kepa Arrizabalaga should Jan Oblak end up leaving the team this summer window.

Liverpool seek reinforcement at the back

The Reds have long been strongly linked with reinforcements in between the sticks after neither Belgian Simon Mignolet nor Karius managed to impress under German tactician Jurgen Klopp.

The Merseysider’s have also been connected with a transfer move for Roma safe hand Alisson recently.

They ended the campaign in disappointing manner when they were defeated 3-1 by La Liga giants Real Madrid in the UEFa Champions League final last week Saturday.
