Chelsea star Willian has talked up his chances of getting back into the starting eleven under Antonio Conte.
The Brazilian ace was a key figure for the Blues prior to the arrival of the Italian boss and even impressed while they struggled in the league last season. But has not cut it under Conte who has preferred to deploy Pedro and Moses on the wings.
Willian hailed the Blues boss for his support and reckons he needs to find his form as he fights back into a starting berth at the Stamford Bridge.
The 28-year-old told the club’s website: “I am happy to hear the manager say I am important and to have the support of him and the staff.
Of course we all want to play but we can’t because there’s only 11 players who can be on the pitch.
“Now I just have to continue to work hard every day and to show my quality again.”
Despite scoring three goals in 10 games for Chelsea this season, Conte may decide to stick with his winning team after he stated that Nemanja Matic will keep his place in the team even when Cesc Fabregas impressed while playing same position for the Blues in the 3-1 win over Manchester City at the Etihad.
