Liverpool defender, Virgil van Dijk throws shade, says self-centred players will have to leave Anfield.
Jurgen Klopp has been faced with challenges of rotating many of his players in games.
While some players have rather been consistent for the Reds so far this season, some have not had more than one or two playing chances.
However, Liverpool centre-back defender and the Netherlands international, Virgil van Dijk in a statement disclosed that self-centred and selfish players will have to leave the club.
Van Dijk added that the Reds players have to understand that every one of them wants to be successful in their football career but a player cannot play all the time.
He hinted that the current season is still long with a lot of matches in store and the Reds will need every one of their players to perform.
This latest statement from the Netherlands star may be a shade on Mohammed Salah and Jordan Henderson who were removed in the second half of the EPL match against Chelsea on Saturday.
Mo Salah was visibly disappointed over his removal from the squad.
Van Dijk is actually right, Liverpool are in for tough challenges this season and would need all their players to be at their best.
The Reds will be travelling to Italy on Wednesday to play against Napoli in the Uefa Champions League.
