English Premier League outfit Manchester United are tipped to make a last minute offer for Italian Serie A outfit Napoli central defender Kalidou Koulibaly before the January window comes to an end.
The Red Devils are making efforts to hand the star central defender an escape route from the Italian Serie A where he is believed to be facing racism abuse.
It was initially believed that he would not be allowed to leave the Italian side with Napoli keen on keeping him away but with the latest development, the Naples outfit are powerless as the player is understood to be unhappy with his situation at the moment.
Kalidou Koulibaly was being attacked with monkey chants when he was sent off in Napoli’s game against Inter Milan on Boxing Day, a development that was not anticipated.
Although the player has been defended and backed by Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti who claims the situation would not have arisen should the referee had stopped the game.
However, the Red Devils are keen to take advantage of the situation and hand the star player an escape route to the English Premier League where racism is quite low.
Meanwhile, United have been on the player’s radar even before the open of the winter transfer window.
