Can close to joining Juventus
Goal is reporting that the Germany international midfielder is on the verge of being confirmed as a player of Juventus and this could happen very soon after the UEFA Champions League final clash against La Liga giant Real Madrid at month end.
The same report says that the Reds have not been able to agree to a new deal with Emre Can and that Liverpool are “resigned” to losing the attacking midfielder on a free when his current contract runs out this summer.
The report also suggests that the 24-year-old is set to sign a five-year contract with the Serie A champions that will net the players about £4million-yearly plus bonuses.
Major announcement imminent
It is also suggested that an announcement is likely to be made after the Reds face Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League final in the Ukrainian City of Kiev on 26 May.
The midfielder is currently facing a transfer race against time to entirely prove his fitness for the Reds showdown encounter with the La Liga giants.
The German has been missing in action with a back problem since the middle of March, but he is now taking part in training with Reds squad as he bids to get prepared for the final encounter.
