It has been announced that Trent Alexander-Arnold has agreed to terms of a new contract at Liverpool.
Liverpool revealed the news on their official website and Twitter account on Friday night that the versatile 18-year-old full-back had signed on a long-term deal.
The Merseysiders did not reveal the length of the new deal, but it has been widely speculated that it will run for over five years until 2022.
The teenage sensation has been rewarded for his immense development after his promotion from the Liverpool academy last campaign to become a regular member of the first-team squad.
Alexander-Arnold played 12 senior matches, seven of which were in the League including a memorable full debut in the 1-1 draw against Manchester United in January.
The West Derby-born wonderkid, who has been played at right-back by manager Jurgen Klopp but can also play comfortably in his favourite central midfield position, made a big impression with his impressive speed and ability to overlap on the right flank.
With an impressive number of first-team appearances already under his belt, the youngster will be hoping to cement further progress next campaign as he prepares to battle Nathaniel Clyne for a regular spot on the right side of defence.
