According to new reports coming from English media, Premier league table leaders Chelsea have been finally granted permission to take AFC Wimbledon’s Toyosi Olusanya on trial.

The Stamford Bridge were reportedly impressed by Toyosi after he featured against them in an FA Youth Cup game a year ago.

It was added that the duo of Chelsea and Manchester City have sent their respective scouts to watch the young teenager play, and he is said to have impressed the blues scouting network.
Chelsea’s boss Antonio Conte is said to desire watching the 19-year-old more closely, and the west London club have beaten Manchester City into taking Toyosi on trial.

Even though the starlet has made just a single first team appearance, Chelsea are said to have been trying to sign him ever since he featured in the 4-1 FA Youth Cup defeat to Chelsea last year.

In his first team debut for AFC Wimbledon last term, the youngster scored a goal just seven minutes into the game that saw his side won Newport County 1-0.

Wimbledon boss Neal Ardley, making comments about him after the game, said Olusanya is a talented player who did well in the FA Youth Cup, and is also an exciting quick player who can run past opponents without too much hesitations.

Neal added that Toyosi only came into the academy not quite long and he is a raw talent who need to be worked on.
