Manchester United and Barcelona target Toby Alderweireld could miss Tottenham’s Champions League clash against Juventus next week Wednesday.

Spurs will play host to the Scudetto Champions in the return leg of the Champions League last-16 fixture. The Premier League giants are in a favourable condition to make it to the next round of the competition after their great comeback from 2-0 down, to end the game in a 2-2 draw in Turin earlier this month.

In his team’s injuries update ahead of the clash, Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has revealed to newsmen Alderweireld is yet to return to training after suffering a relapse in his hamstring problem which kept him out of action four months in the early part of this season.

According to the Argentina international manager, Alderweireld and his defense partner Jan Vertonghen are set to miss out on Tottenham match against Rochdale later tonight in the FA Cup fifth round replay after the first leg ended in a shocking 2-2 draw.

Many fans believe that Spurs have an advantage ahead of Juventus as they are going to enjoy the comfort of playing at home but Pochettino seems not to buy their idea as he claimed his side are yet to adapt to their new stadium.

Tottenham need to avoid losing to Juventus or they must play a goalless or 1-1 draw as that will be enough to push them through to the next round of the competition.
