Breaking! Liverpool Swoop In For Highly Rated EPL Title Winner

Anfield giants Liverpool have been linked with a January move for English Premier League (EPL) title winner Kasper Schmeichel with the transfer window expected to open in around two weeks time.

Liverpool have grown to become a title challenger under former Borussia Dortmund and Mainz 05 boss Jurgen Klopp however the team’s defensive struggles have been well documented with former first choice goalkeeper and summer signing Loris Karius coming under severe criticisms for the recent league performances against Bournemouth (4-3 away loss at Dean Court) and West Ham United (2-2 home draw at Anfield) prompting intesnfied links involving Leicester City and Danish goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel.

Kasper Schmeichel, who is the son of Manchester United legend Peter Schmeichel, was instrumental to Leicester City’s unlikely league title triumph alongside other stars like Riyad Mahrez, Jamie Vardy, Danny Drinkwater amongst others.

He recently returned from injury in the last game against Stoke City at the Bet365 Stadium leading his side to a battling 2-2 draw with 10 men.

Liverpool have reportedly made an inquiry about the availability of Schmeichel with a view to for a transfer next month despite the recent form of new Liverpool first choice goalkeeper Simon Mignolet, who has kept two clean sheets in two games since his return.
